About Us
June 25th, 2007

Started in 2004, Press Pass TV works with students in the Boston Public Schools to create civic minded video journalism. Student work with PPTV staff to produce news stories that cover local individuals, organizations, and events making a positive difference in the community. All content is featured on local access cable, on the internet, at public screenings, and in classrooms.

Students in the Press Pass TV program work on all aspects of production. From shooting and editing video, to scheduling and conducting interviews, students take away fundamental production skills that will help them become independent video journalists. To date, Press Pass Pass TV has produced four 30-minute episodes, over 30 news segments, and has worked with over 100 students from the Boston Public Schools.
